Each stone has unique characteristics that cannot be copied, no two diamonds are ever the same. Each diamond has a personality exclusive to itself, just as unique as their owner.

Sapphire is a precious gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum, an aluminum oxide.

The deep blue of sapphire comes from its trace composition of titanium. The metal compounds deposit in the stone over millions of years in the earth's crust.

The quality of a ruby is determined by its color, cut, and clarity, which, along with carat weight, affect its value.

The brightest, most valuable shade of red called blood-red or pigeon blood commands a large premium over other rubies of similar quality.

Emeralds, like all colored gemstones, are graded using four basic parameters–the four Cs of connoisseur-ship, color, clarity, cut and carat weight.

Normally, in the grading of colored gemstones, color is by far the most important criterion.

In modern use, the precious stones are diamondrubysapphire, and emerald, with all other gemstones being semi-precious.

This distinction reflects the rarity of the respective stones in ancient times, as well as their quality: all are translucent with fine color in their purest forms.
